Automuseum
In Wolfsburg, there is the Zeithaus in the Autostadt - a small but very nice museum of automobile history. But there also is a car second museum that I haven’t been to since my childhood: The Automuseum. Friends had received a voucher for having moved to Wolfsburg. We decided to join them and to check out the museum.
»Munich
In late summer, we finally visited Munich. Jessie had wanted to go for a long time - I think with a somewhat romanticized idea of the city in her head.
»Zeeland
For our summer vacation, Jessie and I went on a cycling trip through the Netherlands. I had looked at various recommended routes and eventually we decided for a trip across Zeeland which is a province in the south-west of the Netherlands that consists of man-made islands.
»Ruhr IV - Zeche Zollverein
This is the final post that completes the mini series of post about my trip to the Ruhr area. On my last day, I went to the Zeche Zollverein which is a former coal mine and coking plant.
»Ruhr III - Duisburg Nord
My favorite part of this trip to the Ruhr area easily was the visit to the Landschaftspark Duisburg Nord. I had brought my bike and from Essen I took a ride on a bike highway, partially along the river Ruhr, to my destination to the north of Duisburg.
»Ruhr II - Kokerei Hansa
Still on my way to Essen, I also stopped at the Kokerei Hansa which is a former coking plant - now an industrial monument.
»Ruhr I - Paragliding
A week ago, I took two days off for a short trip to the Ruhr area to take pictures of the historic mining industry buildings there.
»Winter Hike
We didn’t get a lot of snow in Wolfsburg so far this winter. Therefore, I decided to go on a hike in the Harz. All the way up on the Brocken I surely should be able to find some snow.
»Vienna
This year, Jessie and I spent our Christmas break in Vienna.
