Berlin Again
Last weekend, Jessie and I visited Berlin for a couple of days. My goal was to try out some new restaurants and to spend time to take some pictures.
Therefore, on the second day, we split and while Jessie went to visit the zoo, I took of for a long photo walk across the city.
On the next day, we went for a morning stroll through Friedrichshain…
…to stop for lunch at Niko Niko Ramen and enjoyed a delicious bowl.
Afterwards, we visited the Stasi Museum located in the former headquarter of the Stasi and conveniently located next to our hotel.
Apart from interesting photos and stories from the active times, the museum also featured many rooms that were left they way they looked when the building was taken over.
We started our last day with a walk through Treptower Park…
We were lucky to catch one of the last tours there because the park will eventually be re-built with even some of the original rides.
One of these is the old ferris wheel that currently sits disassembled on the ground:
We had an amazing guide that had brought pictures from the past and the potential future of the park as well as lots of stories to entertain us.
